The Sturgis Veterinary Hospital opened its doors to the public in 1952 at the reins of Dr. J.A. Chamley and his wife Annie. Dr. John Ismay purchased the clinic in 1971. Since that time, the hospital has been a work in progress with the addition of new doctors, technicians, hospital staff, expanded services, state of the art instrumentation and specialized clinical facilities.
Our mission is to increase the health and welfare of the horse and companion animal, which in turn will increase the enjoyment and success of their owners. We do this by providing services such as digital radiography, diagnostic ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, tonometry, specialty dental services and shock wave therapy. The veterinarians attend regular continuing education classes and network with other specialists.
