The
Sturgis Veterinary Hospital opened its doors to the public in 1952 at the reins
of Dr. J.A. Chamley and his wife, Annie. In 1971, current owner Dr. John Ismay
purchased the hospital.
Raised
by a ranching family in the high mountains of southwestern Colorado, Dr. Ismay
is no stranger to hard work. His vision for a high-tech specialty center has
resulted in a facility dedicated to raising equine and companion animal
medicine to an ever-increasing standard of excellence.
