As a full-service hospital, we offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your dog or cat in great health, from wellness exams and vaccinations to dental care, imaging and diagnostics, and boarding. We also provide elective and non-elective surgical procedures including mass removals and spay and neuter procedures.

Our History
Sturgis Veterinary Hospital & Equine Center opened its doors in 1952 with Dr. J.A. Chamley and his wife Annie at the reigns. In 1971, the current owner, Dr. John Ismay, purchased the hospital.
Raised by a ranching family in the high mountains of southwestern Colorado, Dr. Ismay is no stranger to hard work. His vision for a high-tech specialty center resulted in a hospital dedicated to raising the standard of excellence for equine and companion animal medicine and surgery.
